He loved family camping trips, cooking with Dutch Ovens, fishing, and hunting. Mike met Shellie Ann Sparrow when he was just 13. Little did he know, they would become sweethearts, and would marry four years later. They were married June 20, 1992 in Pocatello, Idaho. They were later sealed on July 17, 2004 in the Idaho Falls Temple. In May of 1993, their first little sweetheart, Ashleigh Rickay was born and made them parents. She was born with struggles but didn’t struggle alone. They struggled together just like they always had, leaning on each other. Three years later, in July of 1996, his “mini me”, Rebekah Jo was born. They had an incredible bond like no other. You didn’t see Mike without his “little shadow” far behind. In July of 2000, they added their last baby girl and Mike’s namesake to our family. Michaela Ann came bounding into their lives. He was her biggest cheerleader. When she played Rugby, he traveled to Denver Colorado to support her and cheer her on. Mike was the best “dad of girls”.
